Some things matter more than what’s happening on a jobsite.
Recently, members of the Harbor Contracting team attended a Hard Hats with Heart Lunch & Learn with the American Heart Association, ahead of this year’s Hard Hats with Heart Main Event at Credit One Stadium.
Harbor is supporting this year’s event because heart disease and stroke affect families everywhere, including plenty of people working across Charleston’s construction, design, and building community.
For an industry built around hard work, long days, deadlines, and taking care of the people around you, conversations about heart health are important ones to have.
The Lunch & Learn gave our team a chance to hear more about the American Heart Association’s work, learn more about prevention and awareness, and better understand the purpose behind Hard Hats with Heart.
It also reinforced something we believe pretty strongly at Harbor: being part of the local construction community means more than building projects.
It means showing up.
For clients. For coworkers. For industry partners. And sometimes, for causes that affect all of us far beyond the work we do every day.
About Hard Hats with Heart
Hard Hats with Heart brings together leaders and companies from across the construction, design, and building industries to support the American Heart Association and raise awareness around heart disease and stroke.
